update

Well Saturday we went on the circle island tour. that was way fun and i met a ton of new people and had a blast. we went to the Buddhist temple first and looked at that, it was so cool there was definitely a huge bell that we got to ring and a giant Buddha statue inside the main temple.  we went to the swap meat after that and that was way cool.  there was a lot of stuff there and i got a cool tattoo and some other stuff. after that we went to pearl harbor. that was a way cool experience. we toured around there for about an hour and then went to wallmart. after walking around Wally's for a while we left for haliewa. we stopped there and got some shaved ice.  after we got back home i hung out with a bunch of friends and had a great night. Sunday i went to my last day of church with my old ward because I'm switching dorms.  other than that i read and did my homework.  Monday was pretty exciting cuz i only had one class and after that class i just studied and hung out with friends.  Tuesday was a decent day I had a math test that i think went pretty well.  today i did my laundry for the first time by myself and it actually turned out pretty good.

first week

Tuesday was way fun.  I got to go to the PCC which was way fun.  we watched the canoe pageant which was cool to watch all the countries show like typical dances of their culture.  we made a fish out of  some leaves and I tried poi for the first time ever, it wasn't half bad either. we watched the coconut husking and milking and the tree  climbing, the Polynesian that was showing us was very funny.  we had a luau and that was really good all the food was quite delicious.  after that we went to the night show and that was ridiculously awesome.  Wednesday school started. it wasn't too bad I had calc and student development. both classes were pretty entertaining. I also went to the beach with some friends and that was way fun. the beaches are way nice and fun to play on.  Thursday was a fantastic day i had my missionary prep class, calc, and English 101.  i met some kids that i played soccer with for a while and they seemed really cool. I also joined the kiwi club, which is basically the New Zealand club.  the food here isn't that bad either except when you expecting chicken and you get fish. that was rather disgusting. i think I'm starting to develop the taste for fish. its quite different but not to bad.  today I had calc and student development.  its almost the weekend and i am so excited i get to go on the circle island tour. sorry there aren't any pics i forgot my camera but there will definitely be pics on the next post.

checking out the dorm/ Waimea/ church/ monday

Friday morning we went to the bakery and got some delicious pastries and stuff for breakfast. we then proceeded to go to the byuh campus and scoped it out.  we got my room and started setting up when aunt juju spotted some termites.  they were crawling up the wall and were in my mattress.  she went and grabbed the RA and he started spraying the mattress down.  then my Hale auntie came over and vacuumed out the mattress and the room. so we ended up not getting my room totally set up. then we sent and got me all registered for school and i went through the new student orientation and got my id car. we then went to Walmart and got everything i didn't have in my room. we got tons of stuff there.  after that we went back to the condo and crashed for the night.  Saturday we went to the hukilau cafe. i got the banana pancakes and they were delicious.  after that we went to Waimea valley. we hiked all the way into the falls and it was way beautiful.  we swam in the little area there and went and sat under the falls and it was so fun.  after that we went to Waimea beach and swam in the ocean it was amazing. the water was clear and warm and just pure amazing.  after that we went to Haliewa Joe's the food there was delicious and we got to sit outside with a beautiful ocean view. after that we went to Matsumoto's and got some shaved ice and it was delicious.  we then went back to our condo and chilled there for the rest of the night.  Sunday we went to my new ward and it was really cool. our bishop is really nice and i had a great visit with him.  we went to turtle bay and at in the sun there and then we went to my dorm while most everyone was at the fireside and set up my room really quick and made sure everything worked.  we then went back and watched lord of the rings and went to bed.  today i got dropped off and said good by to juju. I finished my TB test and that went well i then went and hung out with some really cool people and then went to lunch. after lunch we had "mandatory meeting it was kinda boring but i got through it. after that i got a mail box and my address is:

flight and day 1

ready for Seattle and Honolulu
finally here
so my trip to Hawaii started out pretty funny. We thought our plane left at 8 so we got there at 6:50. Little did we know that we read our itinerary from Seattle to Honolulu instead of our Boise to Seattle, so our plane actually left at 6:50. So we missed that plane and had to wait the rest of the day in Boise.  we got our flight rescheduled for later that night. so we got there early and on time but we had to reschedule a hotel in Honolulu, and schedule a hotel in Seattle. we ended up getting a room for really cheap in the Hilton just across from the airport. when we got to our hotel I was severely angered that such a high class hotel didn't offer free Internet and i have decided i don't want to stay at a Hilton ever again.  this morning we got to our flight on time and left Seattle for Honolulu. the flight was amazing i listened to music, watched burn notice, and read my book.  when we approached the island i snapped a few pics as we approached.  my mom and i waited and drove around Honolulu in wait of aunt julienne. after that we drove to the Dole pineapple plantation.  We went to the maze and completed the worlds largest maze in about 30 minutes.  we also looked at some pineapple plants and then unfortunately we got there late and had to leave pretty much 5 minutes after we finished the maze. we then went and got the key to the condo we are staying in at turtle bay, and we had pizza for dinner and we are getting used to the big time change.
one of many beautiful sunsets
mmmmmmmmmmm.

getting ready

Just watched BSU beat VT way to be broncos. Last football game I'll watch here with just over 31 hours before I leave Boise. I'm really excited and only partially packed as in I only have shirts packed but there are like 30 of them so i got that part covered. Not gonna lie I'm kinda really nervous, no friends, no family nearby. Can't wait, Hang 10.
